pricing explanation

i use a quotation system. the commissioner will pitch an idea, and then i'll get a concept and figure out how much the piece will cost. as such, prices may go above or below the expected range for a specific type of piece.i do not price based off of the amount of the character that's being drawn, unlike many other artists, but rather how much time will be spent on the finished product. this accounts for things like potential shading and/or rendering, which ultimately ends up taking most of the time estimated, while also allowing for more creative freedom if so desired.

experimental piece prices vary so much because the quality can vary just as much. these are pieces where i try something new and/or practice something i'm not very familiar with. in my opinion, it allows for my best artistic freedom to show in my work, even if it might not be of top-notch quality.
